“We stayed in villa Flamant Rose in June with our 21 month old son and my brother, sister-in-law and their 2 year old and baby. Phil and Emma could not have been more accommodating, providing stairgates, steriliser, baby monitor, bed guard…..the list is endless. On arrival there was a fantastic welcome hamper with lots of essentials for the adults and the children. Perfect as you don’t need to go straight to the supermarket after your journey. As they have children of their own, the complex is very safe for adventurous toddlers! Which also meant we could relax too. As well as all the on-site facilities – daily exercise classes, massages, playground, drop in kids club, bikes, pool, hot tub…….you are also within a short drive of Canet beach, and 30 minutes from the beautiful town of Collioure. Phil and Emma hosted us for dinner on two evenings and we enjoyed a delicious meal whilst the children ate together under the supervision of one of the babysitters. We also took advantage of the two nights inclusive babysitting so managed to have as many evenings out in the one week as we have had since our son was born! They really have thought of everything to make it a really enjoyable and relaxing holiday for the whole family.”

“The pool is heated and kept to a very comfortable temperature as well as kept very clean. There is also ample, secure parking onsite. Our apartment was on the first floor but there is also a ground floor apartment if you are less mobile. In the local area I found a very good PADI dive centre and my wife loved the near-by lake and was delighted by the sight of Flamingos. I would have no problem at all in booking another week at this delightful place and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a luxury break in this area.”

“We’ve booked somewhere else for our second week but now wish we hadn’t! We really don’t want to leave…”

“First impressions when arriving at the property were excellent. The owners Phil and Emma Davies obviously look at their property as a labour of love and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. The three bedroomed villa we stayed in appeared brand new and very beautifully and tastefully decorated. Everything we needed for our self-catering stay was provided. We loved all the family amenities onsite including child-friendly fully enclosed heated swimming pool, table tennis table, swing, trampoline and play room fully equipped with toys and crafts. There were also plenty of loungers and hammocks for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. The adults made use of the massage and fitness offered by the fully qualified instructor Emma. Comparing to experiences back home, Emma was very professional and knew her craft exceptionally well.”

“The play barn had tonnes of toys and the childminder who came twice a day did painting and other activities with the children. Ours were a little young (1,2 and 3) to be left for a whole session but I imagine kids of 4+ would be more than happy to play all day in the play barn, outdoor play ground and pool. We also did a trip to the rope park which kids of 2+ can use which was excellent, and Collioure is also probably worth mentioning as a good beach and lunch option. Although we didn’t make use of it, babysitting was an option. We didn’t go out in the evenings but the catered meals along with a bbq gave us enough variety.”

“Stayed here with our two children (11 and 6) and had one of the most relaxing holidays that we’ve ever had. The owners live on site and are extremely kind and informative. The facilities for children were superb (pool, games room, toys and art supplies) and it was a job trying to see the rest of France as they never wanted to leave the site! The accommodation was really lovely and the location is fabulous. You are in the countryside and yet so very near the sea, supermarkets and lots of attractions. My wife would recommend the fitness classes and all in all we would rate this as excellent holiday accommodation.”

“It’s such a lovely place. Usually we go to the Cote d’Azur but this area offers so much more. I wish we’d discovered it earlier”

“You’ve definitely got something here… the pool is so warm and we’ve really enjoyed having breakfast provided. The kids don’t want to leave!”

“Very child friendly, It is everything they promise you and more! The villa is clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The private terrace that belongs to the villa is great to have breakfast, lunch and dinner and has comfortable sunbeds. There are loads of toys and games for children in the Kids Club, which is in a shaded place, the kids love it and it may also help to keep them from being in the sun all day long. The pool is wonderful, no chlorine in the water. The owners are super friendly, they made us feel welcome and at home. Emma gives an excellent fitness class, which definitely adds to the holiday spirit. There are lots of great places to visit within a short distance from the villa, such as beautiful beaches, charming villages, the mountains and Spain.”

“I don’t usually use swimming pools but this one is fabulous. The salt water makes such a difference – it’s just so relaxing.”
